蒙特雷半岛之歌
方壶斋
滚滚萨河水，巍巍杰峰山。高地如虎踞，海岸似龙盘。
汹洋至此静，西客扎营盘。修士起教堂，向北起自南。
强迁原住民，“教化”美洲蛮。文化因此摧，人口因病减。
几度烽烟过，大王旗变换。首府上加州，易帜无硝烟。
东有沃土肥，西有海中鲜。华日皆鱼捕，意人更领先。
火焚中国村，我族人四散。徒留唐人角，鲜有人吊唁。
昔日沙丁盛，火车往来繁。涸泽终有尽，厂荒有经年。
悠悠四十载，沙丁今复还。无人报渔讯，游客自悠然。
我居蒙特雷，缘有国王山。大炮犹在守，奥德却萧然。
而今外语城，出产通事员。更有海军曹，运筹教室间。
日日望大海，坐看富门山。不觉二十载，白发两鬓斑。
骇然仍一身，徒劳慕月圆。将同此地老，谁结白头缘？

萨河 Salinas River
杰峰 Jack's Peak
上加州： 美国加州当年属于墨西哥，被称为上加州。今天墨西哥还有下加州。
易帜： 美西战争爆发后，蒙特雷被美国海军夺取，基本没费枪弹。
报鱼讯： 沙丁鱼不是总有的。 当沙丁鱼季节来临，罐头街总有人喊叫 The Sadine is back!
奥德： 奥德基地。美国陆军基地，今已废，一部分成为了加州州立大学蒙特雷分校。
富门山: Fremont Peak 本地最高山。冬日可见山头积雪。
