谢谢诗鸿。
三位一体是早期基督教的最大难题,说法众多。关于 the Holy Spirit, Karen Armstrong 在 "A History of God" 里有详尽论述。公元 325年5月20日,在 Constandine 召集的主教会议上,三位一体的说法被正式确认,反映在当时写出的这首颂歌里:
We believe in one God,
the Father of Almighty,
maker of all things, visible and invisible,
and in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the Son of God,
the only-begotten of the Father,
that is, of the substance of the Father,
God from God,
light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten not made,
of one substance with the Father,
through whom all things were made,
those things that are in heaven and those things that are on earth,
who for us men and for our salvation came down and was made of man,
suffered,
rose again on the third day,
ascended into the heavens
and will come
to judge the living and the dead,
And we believe in the Holy Spirit.*
