為天有眼兮何不見我獨漂流？

我不負天兮天何配我殊匹？

Oh had the seven heavens had their eyes,
Why didn’t they see me a forlorn person?
Oh had all deities had no souls like ice,
Why they forsook me here wild and barren?
Oh Heavens, I am so faithful to ye,
Why did ye tie me with an alien race?
Oh deities, I’ve ne’er blasphemed ye,
Why did ye banish me to such a wild place?
I was trying to compose this eighth song
In hope of forcing out my inner woe,
Yet I didn’t realize my grief could grow strong
Oh only when this song sang my sorrow.
Oh heavens why me ye chose to forsake;
Didn’t ye see me drown in a sea of ache?
