暖 冬 湿 雪 信 步 行 ， 儿 童 岁 月 忆 北 京 。 早 春 檐 低 冰 化 水 ， 去 年 草 籽 饮 晶 莹 。 三 九 严 寒 罩 大 地 ， 水 管 四 周 起 冰 冢 。 杂 院 民 房 多 老 旧 ， 十 几 人 家 居 其 中 。 冰 花 变 换 成 小 溪 ： 外 婆 呵 气 化 窗 凌 。 横 流 涕 泗 成 蛛 网 ， 今 年 白 菜 何 行 情 ？ 往 日 生 活 多 拮 据 ， 回 味 却 因 真 情 浓 。



I walked on wet snow in a warm winter
Recalling my childhood days in Beijing
Ice on the roof in spring turned into water
Feeding previous year's grass seeds in sleeping
As winter deepened, bitter cold gripped the earth
Under the pipe of running water ice mount rose
In the dazayuan yard houses fell into disrepair
Families crowded into single rooms with despair
Breathing to the windows Grandma thawed the frost
That turned into trickles that streamed and then lost
I used to watch the water trickling in all direction
But now I wonder about white cabbages's market situation
What a life it was when we eked out a living
Now I miss it with a genuine fond feeling.
