冰霜凛凛兮身苦寒，
饥对肉酪兮不能餐。
夜闻陇水兮声呜咽，
朝见长城兮路杳漫。
追思往日兮行李难，
六拍悲来兮欲罢弹。
The Sixth Song
Ice and frost bit my body night and day,
I didn’t crave the meat and cheese on the tray.
At night I’d hear what Longshui'd with sobs say,
At dawn I’d see th’ Great Wall, oh far away.
In retrospect, oh, what a thorny way,
So sad, I could've barely done this sixth lay.
