2006-11-28 18:27 Good questions! Give me some thoughts when I design my system.
When you log in to yidian through other computers, you should set it to the 浏览器进程. which means if you close the browser, it will log you off. Otherwise, if you left and didn't log out, other people can access as you. Although if they want to change your password, email address etc., they cannot, they have to have the password to do so.
You cannot expire your cookie on public access computer through your home computer, but you can change your password to prevent other people log in through the cookie you dropped there. (the forum seems not offer this feature, although it is not technically difficult to do so in programming, but add it to the already built system could be difficult.)作者: 况也 时间: 2006-11-28 22:50 Searain, but I think all the bank websites have automatic expiring functions. Even CND will log you off when you exit IE or hanging up for too long.作者: searain 时间: 2006-11-28 23:01 Forum uses the loose security rules. Remember some people said their posts went under other's names. These are the bugs of the forum. If it happens in the bank, then your money will go to other people's bank.
Bank doesn't let you auto login.
Even banks messed things up big once a while. One of Taiwan's banks once let you log in, and change the id in the windows brower, and get to other's account. And bank said it was a small programmer error and only affect a few clients. That was a lie. That was a programming error and it could affect hundreds clients if not more.
You can try to log out first in yidian. And then log in back. You can see when you log in, they let you select the cookie life time. select 浏览器进程. Actually, this 浏览器进程 is not clear to some people, it should say, Cookie 不保存,关闭浏览器就失效.
The funny thing is that I am talking about internet security here and my computer was just hit by a nasty virus, and I am spending days to recover my data now, and I still didn't get the Chinese input reinstalled yet. I cannot "speak" here in Chinese now.
I knew, back up, back up, and back up! I have a CD writer but I don't have a DVD writer to do the large volum back up. I need a new computer.
