But why does that have to be so is questionable, and we can do something about it if we do not like it. The first step is to change your own attitude or feelings about the rich guy. Why do you have to feel pressured? And why do you have to avoid him? I feel quite comfortable living with the rich as long as they do not move away from me. If I have a rich friend or former classmate like you I would keep in touch with him and let him foot the bills all the time. Why not? My problem is that not only I am not rich but I don't have the luck to know any rich one before they become rich. I wish all of my former classmates are rich in China today so that I can have free trips to or at least free staying in China every time. How wonderful would that be? Introduce your rich pals to me and ask him to foot my bills in China and let them feel that they are helping a poor friend of their childhood playmate. Will they be happy to do that? Will you feel losing face that you are not rich enough to help a friend and have to ask them to help your friend? Maybe.
