Hearing the lady has a knight
To laugh or cry, I know not which is right
I wish her happiness from the heart
My crush on her has fallen apart
Twice I saw them in the marketplace
A nice gentleman, a lady with grace
Who the guy is puzzled me a lot
One remark today fired the right shot
I have long known she is alien to me
But who can resist loving beauty?
I used color to paint her smile
And poetry to praise her nice style
I should be ashamed for acting young
An old fella in mirror, white hair long
From now on I watch the moon in water
And enjoy the vagueness of misty flower
I lodge in alien land with dense fog at dusk
The grass in the wasted yard show signs of spring
My dreams are unclear in the warm fragrant bed
The pale moon brings a solitary feeling
Nowhere to see lights at Lantern Festival
None pays me the New Year visit at my door
All is desolate as seen from the window
My old eyes shed tears in heart breaking mirror
