WEED
- by 兰若
- This is a story,
a lonely story
(1)
Weed is from water.
That day,
The water beads on weed's body
Couldn't be wiped out
Like a little deer,
Stumbled on a summer meadow
On her fine, thin hair
There was the sunshine.
It's me, from the water
I dragged you out
You have no home
Weed, I say,
I'll call you weed,
You drifted in from the water
Bringing a piece of green
The river surface that day
Because of you
Bestrewed all over with reflections
(2)
Weed, I still can't recall
How you could become my bride
How come your hand
From my hand
Could pull out a doorsill
That day's laughter was much unexpected
I was drunk
Only remember your face
Was also that
Red
Weed, I speak in my heart
What I wanna do for you:
Building a big, big house
There's a special season on each wall
When the flowers fall here,
The flowers would blossom there
Weed, you are my lover
(3)
Every day, I start at dawn
Shadow bringing windy dews
Every day, I fish in water
Until the dark night
Embroidering stars all over my clothes
Every day, from sunrise till sunset.
Weed, you stand by the window waiting for me
You shed tears sometimes
Your sighs can be like dust sometimes
Covering my joyous heart
Oh weed, what are you worrying about
(4)
You don't wanna me leave,
Weed,
You speak in my arms
That little woodworker can sing
His singing bothers you
His smile, also like the September sun glare
Makes it hard for you to open your eyes
Weed, you say
Your tears
Running down with my sweat
I see your cheeks
There are red clouds floating
My heart,
Is like the pebbles in the river
Clean, and can hold only one kind of happiness
That day, I can only remember
You didn't wanna me leave
(5)
Weed
Many years later
I still can't imagine that night
Imagine
The looks of the weeds under the moonlight
And the insects' singing in the house
Weed
Many years later
That faraway night
Was still like a fastened door
My hands, were still easily
Scratched
Weed
Many years later
I never understand why
I only know
When you left,
Just like you came
There was no trace.
Weed
Many years later...
Wind blows by,
I look at the river water running incessantly.
