Well, I rarely read China Daily, and when I read, I read what I read, and I do not read what I intend to read.
第七帖,是CNN的一篇报道加评论。标题为,为什么中国对日本捐助有重要意义。 值得注意,文章谈及中国对日情感时,有这样一段话,作者说,“I remember a controversy in the late 1990s when a big-budget movie, "Pride, the Fateful Moment," opened in Tokyo. The film, about wartime general Hideki Tojo, infuriated Japan critics in China because it claimed that Tojo was not so bad after all.
The movie also implied that the Nanjing Massacre, a killing spree by Japan's imperial army, may not have happened at all. China condemned the movie as an attempt to ’whitewash Japanese wartime aggression.‘”,即90年代一部东京上映的大制作电影Pride,the Fateful Moment,日语翻译成汉语,为自豪命运瞬间,影片人物,东条英机。他不是希特勒,这里声明一下。影片暗示,南京大屠杀可能根本没发生过。
A PEACE Sign has been posted here to cover a bloodily red warning. (Statement: Some of original words have been deleted. They should be deleted because it's not politically correct and does not show a good taste.
Clearly those two lines are inappropriate and they targeted people who do not even exist in this forum, so please do not take it offensively. I donot know what possessed me to approach the subject like that. I am sorry for what took place and I deleted the warning also. Since there had never been any bashing (toward Chinese, Vietnamese, or any ethnical group or minority in any geographical region) in this forum, we are truly in peace.)
Students in China donate to Japan's disaster relief
Beijing's Tsinghua University is collecting donations for the victims of last week's earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Students said the two countries' historic problems did not affect their desire to help their neighbors. "We talked a lot about the earthquake in Japan, and it was really a catastrophe," said Li Keqian from the School of Information Science and Technology. "It is natural that we give them a hand."

“The Chinese government decided Wednesday to donate 20,000 tons of fuel to Japan in the wake of last week's massive earthquake and tsunami that devastated the northeastern part of the country, Xinhua News Agency reported Wednesday.
The donated fuel consists of 10,000 tons of gasoline and 10,000 tons of heavy oil, Xinhua said.
China, meanwhile, was unaffected by radioactive leaks from the Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant damaged by Friday's magnitude 9.0 quake, Xinhua said in a separate dispatch, quoting the nuclear watchdog's air monitoring survey...”
信息发布来源大概是在美国的华人。大意是号召中国人通过国际红十字会向日本进行捐助,而且越多越好(5000美元以下积极捐助)。
The 9.0 magnitude earthquake, tsunami, and subsequent aftershocks left the northern coast of Japan completely destroyed with over 15,000 people missing, 350,000 homeless, rising death tolls, and radiation leaks. We can all help the relief effort by donating to the American Red Cross through the International Response Fund. Better Chinese will match all donations for a total contribution up to $5,000.
Help by donating now and with our combining efforts, we can help with the immediate aid and long-term recovery plans in Japan.
Local governments in northeast China's Jilin Province on Monday pledged to donate money to the Japanese areas hit hardest by last week's destructive earthquake as rescue work continues.
The provincial government of Jilin will donate 100,000 U.S. dollars to the prefectural government of Miyagi while the municipal government of Changchun, capital of Jilin, will donate 500,000 yuan (76,900 U.S. dollars) to the municipal government of Sendai, local officials said.
"We hope the people of Miyagi can quickly overcome the natural disaster and rebuild their hometown. We hope life will soon return to normal," said a spokesman of Jilin provincial government.
Jilin, which borders the Korean Peninsula, has close economic ties with Japan.
Last Friday, a massive magnitude 9 earthquake struck off the east coast of Japan's main Honshu Island, triggering a tsunami and leaving thousands dead and missing.
Miyagi, with a population of about 2.3 million, was one of the hardest hit areas.
While the Japan grapples with widespread damage, many countries around the world have offered help to the country.
The central government of China has pledged 30 million yuan (4.57 million U.S. dollars) worth of emergency humanitarian assistance to Japan, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce said Monday.
Jilin and Changchun are among the first local governments in China to announce donation plans.
