Trees in dusk accompany quiet clouds which are fading,
As chilly autumn winds follow the sun which is setting.
In the world, there are so many professionals of art,
But now no one is able to draw my broken heart.
(Note: in the first two lines, trees in dusk and quiet clouds are metaphors for the declining of national power. The late Tang Dynasty situation worried the poet a lot. In the last two lines: a large number of artists can not draw my grief. The poet disclosed his infinite sadness to the weak Tang Dynasty which once was a peaceful and prosperous nation. )
