此诗是一首怨男诗。这跟中国文化截然相反。中国只有怨女。

另一点和中国文化不同的是，此诗结尾，怨男转怨为喜：你这个多变的女人，幸亏你变得快，没功夫让我娶了你。我要你做甚？

而中国的怨女永远只是在怨，对负心汉毫无办法。
