很喜欢这首诗的韵律和意象。
此诗头一段，描写老虎之威武，但是全诗并非是写老虎的，而是写谁创造了老虎。据所看到的分析，说是诗人看到老虎，想你那凶神恶煞的样子，到底是上帝所造还是撒旦所造，遂有此诗。难道造就了温顺羔羊的上帝，也造就了你吗？
从神学角度看，这也是一个永恒的话题。如果上帝是充满爱心的，为什么还会让世界上有恶人？
从这个角度看，本诗中的老虎就不是善的化身，羔羊才是善的化身。
但是从跨文化阅读的角度来说，我作为译者， 作为一个中国人，还是欣赏老虎的雄风。在翻译中，力求在我的感受和作者的原意之间取得妥协。
翻译中运用成语，有的时候倒也能歪打正着。比如这里的“鬼斧神工”，也可以解释成魔鬼撒旦与上帝， 与原诗意思相合。

TIGER, tiger, burning bright

What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?
